A Beautiful Marble

Here is an example of a bathroom vanity that we recently fabricated for a customer in Southbridge. She picked a really incredible marble called Lady Dream Onyx. This particular stone has a really unique quality. It's a 3/4" stone and because of its makeup its actually translucent, so if a light is mounted underneath it the stone looks as if its glowing from within.

Granite Countertop

This is a kitchen counter that we replaced with a beautiful granite called Silver Sea Green. It has a small beveled edge, and a typical 4" backsplash but theres just something about this stone that puts you in a good mood. I think it has a nice tropical, relaxed feel to it.

This is a close-up shot of the seam where the two pieces of granite come together. I wanted to take this picture so that you could see how tight these seams can really be. When they're done properly you really have to look to see them. At LBC we like to take our time and use special little techniques to bring our customers a really superior quality.

Covering up the Concrete.....

This is a veneer job that we did in Sturbridge just in the past couple weeks. The customer had a set of ever popular pre-cast concrete steps which we were able to reface and give a much more natural look. We used a product called Cultured Stone to cover the sides and stair risers, its a concrete product that is made to resemble real stone, in this case Alpine Pheasant Ledgestone. We also used Bluestone to top the treads and the landing. Bluestone is always a popular choice as its such a great looking, versatile product, especially when its sealed and has the dark wet look.

Createk Stone

Createk is a relatively new product that looks and feels exactly like real stone. It's made of a composite polymer that allows it to be sturdy and life-like yet very lightweight and maintenence free. The stones are designed for easy installation, and there is a huge variety of different choices and options. They range anywhere from a simple well cover, or bird bath all the way to natural water features, gris mills, and lamp posts.
Definately a product to check out, whether for a quick home installation or cover-up, or a large culdesac or community.
Check out all the details at our personal blog. http://www.createkstones.blogspot.com/

New England Elite Fieldstone

For the first posting I'd like to show you a selection of stone that we've been salvaging and palletizing for the past few months. This particular stone is called New England Elite Fieldstone. Located in a small section of wilderness in Charlton Massachusetts are a set of walls which showcase a perfect collection of the classic New England fieldstone. The stone is a flat and round mix, that is dark and weathered with spots of lichen and moss. This stone is a great choice for any N.E. wall.
